How did society change because of Nelson Mandelas ideas?

I don't know what your Answer is--BUT, I believe that he and Gandhi, were the Saints of our generation! They both suffered long YEARS of imprisonment by the British Imperial occupiers of India and South Africa---Mandela, imprisoned in a small wire cage for 27 YEARS! When the British FINALLY released Mandela, the British disbanded; elections were held, and he served as President, leading them slowly into a more democratic nation.
