Strange infestation of locusts (or grasshoppers)?

Weather conditions make insect live cycles explode sometimes. Like if it was a nice level of rain and the plants grew green and are abundant then these univolting insects explode in population to eat all the food. They are now dying because they might be stuck in a building where there is no food. And most likely you have a Romalidae which are lubber grasshoppers.
