What burden is the speaker trying to escape?

I think hes a sailor whos leaving his sailing. it was his passion but now hes kinda tired of it and heading to land. I think hes kind of undecided whether he should leave but is still tired of the it. he seems more free (draws a freer breath) on land almost like he was controlled by the sea. thats what i got
