Issues with wrongful accusations from a faculty member: advice?
If this continues, you need to hold a sit-down conversation with this teacher. Did you do something tha made her think you're a trouble-maker? You need to find out why she keeps blaming you for things. the way to go about it is to be earnest and careful with your words. Do not be accusatory or she will go on the defensive. Instead, come to her and say you just wanted to talk and clear the air bc you think you got started on the wrong foot, and that perhaps she has the wrong idea about you. Explain what happened from your perspective, and ask for her perspective. Tell her you think there has been a misunderstanding. If you approach it in a kind, thoughtful way and engage her in a conversation, she will likely respond a lot better. Let her know how much this is upsetting you!
