Why is it bad to go to court?

im 18 & i had court for shoplifting. my dad is an attorney & got it dismissed. now i have an obsession with court. i go there everyday & watch hearings. today i saw my dad at the courthouse. he told me that i couldnt watch court in the same court room with the same judge that i had. why does my dad not want me at the courthouse? i am interested in seeing how the court system works. why is my dad embarrassed & weirded out?
