A weird bug bit me! What do I do?

I was playing with my guinea pig and a locust-like black/brown bug (not a locust) jumped up onto my hand and bit me. There's a red area about 2 and a half cm wide and a whiteish redish bump in the middle! My dad said to ice it and I am but now my thumb feels weird.......
