Who is present at a parole hearing?

Parole hearings are conducted by the state parole board with staff members and one civilian,there is not a jury the panel consisting of from 3 to six depending on the state act as judge and jury. The victim/s, their family members if they are deceased are allowed to be there and give testimony, the prosecution of the case, and an attorney representing the person requesting parole. There are often law enforcement officers there called by the original prosecutors and they will give testimony especially in a case with violence as part of the crime.}{
