So I have this irrational fear of any bug that has a hard shell. For example, my sister got the mail today and there was this little beetle on the mail and I freaked out and she dropped it next to me and the beetle jumped on my seat and I almost jumped out of the car because I was so far up off of my chair. I ended up crying my eyes out and I still feel like the beetle might be on me somewhere. I used to be fine with bugs, but it keeps getting worse as I get older. When I was 11, I woke up one night covered in ants because my sister had eaten in my bed and left crumbs all over. A couple years ago a ton of cicada's and locusts and crickets were out and of course, I had a tiki torch, and they love light! They would fly at the torch and then drop on to my head after hitting the flame (I was sitting on the ground holding the torch, by the way). Thankfully, there haven't been any other encounters in a while because I've been in Idaho, where there are no bugs. But, now I'm back in Texas, and everyone knows that bugs love Texas! i recently moved out of an apartment that I shared with 3 people. Months ago the drain plug in the bathroom broke so the lever was naturally in the position so the tub wouldn't drain. We told the landlord via a voice mail he says he did not receive and it kind of became a part of our life so we forgot about it and just got used to rigging it so it would drain without us holding it down. We realized it could have been an issue right before we moved out and naturally it was. The landlord is trying to charge us for the cost of the repair from our security deposit. With the knowledge that we should have taken care of it sooner, does he have any right to do this? It did not affect his ability to rent the house (he received full payment for the month of June, the month after we moved out) and the piece broke through no fault of our own (it rusted through, something we clearly could not cause). I believe that all schools should have uniforms. It forces kids to get to know one another for who they are on the inside instead of judging them by what they wear. Too many kids these days are materialistic. They won't talk to other kids if their clothes are dingy or the wrong brand. Clothes don't make a person, the person inside does. If everyone wore the same thing, then there would less cliques in schools. I also think that it would boost creativity in new ways. Kids want to say that their clothes are an expression of who they are, and I agree to a point. Wear those clothes outside of school. Learn to express who you are through arts like music, dance, painting, drawing, singing, poetry, or short stories. There are so many ways to express who we are and what we believe, but most kids are being limited to expressing themselves through materialistic means. Clothes, i-pods, facebook pages, makeup, and cars. It's time to find out WHO people are, not what they own.

My 1 year old still sleeps for 12 hours at night is that normal?

He goes to bed at 11 and he will wake up a lil at 5 then falls back to sleep with in minutes and wakes up a 11am he take an hour nap from 4-5 or 5-6 then takes a 30 minute nap at 8 and goes to sleep at 11pm. 19 month old waking up screaming?

Hi everyone. My 19 month old has always been a fantastic sleeper. He takes 1 nap during the day for about 2.5-3 hours and then sleeps 10-12 hours at night. We have bedtime routine we have followed since birth and even during teething he would always sleep well. Lately though he is waking up from his naps about 30 minutes to an hour early and just screaming! If my husband or I go in there and get him he immediately calms down. We will usually put him back down if the nap hasn't been too long and he will sometimes cry harder or sometimes he rolls over and goes back to sleep. This only happens at nap time. We've also tried not going in there thinking maybe he was just getting too used to us coming in and rocking him but that led to him screaming to the point of chugging for 20 minutes and I couldn't take it anymore and went to get him. Does anyone have any experience with this or advice? I'm hoping it's just a phase but I welcome any suggestions!

Ok so my husband Michael went to court on monday and is in a huge legal mess. He was represented by a public defender on 3 open cases. His lawyer never gave us any notices of his hearings during the last two months. Mike's bondmen didn't even know about them. So as a result he had 3 warrants issued for his arrest. So Mike turned himself in because he didn't want his bonds forfeited and he wanted to show the courts that he wasn't running or purposely missing these court dates. About 2 weeks before this mike and I got all the proof showing that his lawyer had missed about 6 court appearances and never mailed any notices along with asking his lawyer to withdrawal counsel. He never did so when mike went to court on monday his lawyer still had not filed the withdrawal and didn't bother showing up for that hearing either! As a result the JUDGE fired his lawyer and said "I'm not sure that this man has received due process". Now is this good news for his cases or does it even make a difference? Can his charges be dismissed because of the way it was handled? I'm waiting for this **** heel lawyer to give the public defender's office mike's files, until then michael is in jail without representation. When we get those files he'll be reassigned a new attorney. What do I have to ask this attorney to file so Michael can be let back out on bond? The bondsman has agreed to continue the bond so what else should I do to make sure Michael gets heard and is treated fairly. I mean his job has agreed to hold his place, he's a head chef at two restaurants, what can I do or say or ask his new lawyer to do to get him out!??

Gears of War 3: Minh Young Kim Multiplayer?

Is kim going to be in the gears of war 3 multiplayer. I see that A Carmine B carmine Dizzy, Tai, and even RAAM are going to be in the multiplayer. Kim should be in it i hope they will atleast have him be unlocked from an achievement like before. I have played the gears 3 beta and saw all of the things in it so far and really hope kim will be in the next game. My cat can't meow anymore? Is something seriously wrong?

We move up to our summer home every May and of course we bring my 11 year old cat, Bitty, up with us. About a day or two after the move this year, I noticed that her meow was rather hoarse and now it doesn't make a sound at all. She is long haired, so at first I assumed maybe she just had another hairball but it's been two weeks and there hasn't been any change at all in her voice, her behavior has remained totally normal though, she seems slightly less hungry but not at an alarming level. The house we are at is at a much higher altitude but I didn't think that would affect it. So my family and I are visiting Gettysburg, PA, and of course we had to walk around the battlefield. My dad and I went for a little hike through one of the fields, and when we came back to the car we realized there were "tiny spiders" crawling all over us. We brushed them all off, or so I thought, until I later found two of them latched on to my neck and ear. I, of course, FREAKED and ran for the shower until I felt clean...ish. My mom and I just found out that our hotel room is crawling with ticks. I changed clothes when we got home, and I guess they still had ticks, so now they've crawled off and are looking for their next victims. I have no idea what to do. I do not want to wake up in the morning and find a fat thing latched to my nose or other scary places...is there no hope of getting rid of them, since we're in a hotel room? |: I'm pretty sure they're all over the car, too. Could we at least spray the car down with something? We have NO experience with these creatures! I also just turned on the AC, and it's getting cold in here. Will that bug them a little? Eek! Has my 3.5 GPA freshman year ruined my chances at a top college?

I go to a private prep school. Unfortunately, my grade school didn't prepare me at all. It was a joke for me and I never really learned how to study...which affected me a lot this year. But I'm kind of stressing right now because I feel like I can't my GPA much and I definitely can't get a 4.0. I found out that the highest I can get is a little over a 3.8, which isn't fantastic...and that's if I get a 4.0 soph and jr years. Why isnt my child talking?

Hello when my child was 12 months old i began to try and get my daughter to say something as she was making small noises, i should probably mention since she was born she moans alot and its got worse as shes got older. At 14 months i began to get worried she stopped making noises so i bought a book for her like a flip chart of animals and i say this is cat c a t. She just looks doesnt attempt to form or copy any words. I was told that it will happen take her to a group with other children as they tend to copy other children. I took her and it hasnt worked theres younger children there and they are talking. Shes one month away from her 2nd birthday now and doesnt say a word, her hearings fine and mouth. She has a cousin 2 months younger and can speak, other children at the group younger than her can speak. Is it legal to keep my baby's father from holding her?

Starting when I was pregnant with my second child up until 5 months after she was born, I, a child from a previous relationship, and my youngest daughter endured physical and verbal abuse, most of it verbal. We aren't legally separated but are living in different homes. He's joined the military and to keep his MOS for some reason we have to wait until he's done with basic and AIT to get a divorce or go through with custody hearings. He has a number of documents I need- all of our social security cards, my ID, our birth certificates- and won't give them to me unless I let him see the baby. He can't legally withhold them and I've been told I don't even have to let him see her until court but I'd like to. But legally, if he is there, can I not allow him to hold her? Before we moved out of our house there was an ordeal where he restrained me and would not allow me to leave, and then held her until police showed up and then he got scared and handed her back before they got out of the car. I don't think I would have her now if I hadn't been the one holding her when police arrived.

Spoke to a guy on the phone from Capital One. He graduated from college (which is inexpensive in India) was articulate and an excellent problem solver, and they have cheap health care. So why would corporations stop outsourcing when they can pollute more in other countries and get cheap educated labor, and the government has health care covered? We can't fight outsourcing with lower regulations, we need to do it with better education, lower health care costs, and more focus on new innovation and more focus on local economy --- Localism. In addition the countries where the outsourcing is taking place are HUGE new markets for international corporations, they already have our business tied up. The USA is old news to the traditional corporate models. We have to look at better strategies to get back to peace and prosperity. Globalist strategies are stripping the world's resources as they move like locusts to use every resource, and exploit every new person and place, as new markets/buyers, of crap most people don't need to begin with. Deregulating, and polluting more in the USA will not stop outsourcing it will just pollute the USA more. That's not the answer.

Yes, he could be in breeding mode, shame you didn't give bit more info like how long you've had him, how old the uv tube is and what temperatures you run him at. The fact that he is lively, jumping around is good, hiding away in a corner would not be so good. The temperature being incorrect and the uv needing replacing would affect the appetite which is why I'm asking. If you have a reptiglo uv tube, that would need changing every 6 months, if it's an arcadia 12% (these are definitely better) they have to be changed every 12 months. I can't say which temperature is best to run him at as it depends where the sensor off the thermostat is in relation to the bulb, but you should be aiming for a cold end temperature of 80f with a basking spot of 100f - 110f, then dropping your night time temperature by about 10degrees. Check these few details and you feel that everything is ok then I wwouldn'tworry. How many days a week are you feeding him? As beardies get older they do need less food, so instead of feeding daily, by the time they are 2 years old you could probably feed him 4 or 5 days out of the 7, and on the days that you feed him he will eat better as you are allowing him to become more hungry on the non feed days. Good luck, I am sure he will be fine but if he shows any other signs of illness then ofcourse you must take him to a vet or aat leastdrop him into a specialist reptile shop for them to have look at him, customers do that a lot with us and if we think it necessary then we will certainly recommend the vet.

Broke my Fibula, how long till i can walk by myself?

I'm 17 and 2 weeks ago I broke my Fibula only about 1 in from the ankle, and 3 days after the break i had surgery to keep it stable, i have a plate and 8 screws in it. I have no pain or swelling at this point, and it doesn't even hurt when i put my weight on it, just a minor annoyance. I went to the doc today and he said it was looking great and he could hardly see the break anymore. I got my staples removed and a new cast. Now I know for sure I will have this cast another 4 weeks, but I never got a clear answer on whether or not i will need a walking boot after. In your opinion, if he said it is healing great and looks fantastic and can hardly see a break, and he also said the reason i do need this cast is just to make sure the plate doesn't warp, will i need to be in any more casts or boots after this or will I have a virgin leg again? I know I will need to ask my ortho for sure but what is your opinion?

There is long term parking at the airport, but we always park at the Payless Car Rental lot. they have a shuttle, but leave time to get to the airport as sometimes there is a wait between shuttles and you don't want to worry about your flight. i dont think the nfc north will do that well. you said that the packers have the toughest schedule in the league. well, based on the system, the rest should have a tough time too since only 2 games are different between all the teams (minus home and away games). as for the east, i see the cowboys and eagles being tied for 11-5. in those losses early, vick started and got the win with kolb winning the game. he didnt get the start. but kolb for the most part wont be there. the cowboys have a lot of upside this season inclding new staff all around and romo of course. the redskins still have problems with the offense. maybe 9-78. the giants have a brutal last 8 games. and they have a problem playing the 2nd half. the nfc west is the nfc west, i dont agree, but i dont disagree. anything can happen. i think the nfc south is pretty accurate, i just dont see the panthers doing much better. they still have a lot more prblems than just qb. thats why i thought giving clausen the boot for newton was bad because they need help on defense and clausen was still young and developing. but who knows? last season made EVERYONE look stupid. plus, i cant say much since players havent been resigned so players like asomghua possibly resigning can make/break a team.

Someone help me please?

I am being evicted over paying my rent late by 1 week, even though I paid the late fee. I have 2 toddlers that are out of control. Both fathers are out of the picture and never call to see either one. Ever. I have NO family or help. My mother is mentally ill and gets paid from the state for it. My father is a drug addict who is physically abusive to me. I don't any close friends in the city I moved to. I have 2 friends I can call up, both of whom I do trust, but haven't told them my troubles because I don't want to depress them, and really there is nothing they could do anyway. I have hardly any income at all. Kids dads were ordered to pay support, but neither of them do. I am in the middle of court hearings for them. Oh and the other one they can't find currently, he moved out of state. I also have physical problems. I am tired constantly. And not like a normal tired. Like a severe fatigue. I have no diseases, but my white blood count is up, which means it could be cancer. I don't have good insurance and they have changed my doctor now so I can't see her until 45 days from now when the transfer goes through. I have to pack and move by myself. No help. My body is so beat. I layed in bed barely able to move because of a stabbing pain in my lower left side, and only got up to feed my children the entire day, because it was so painful. Again, I have to wait 45 days to even see someone to find out whats wrong. I have been to the ER but they dismiss me and try to give me pain pills and tell me to see my family doctor. My last spouse left me abrubtly, one minute he said he loves me and wants to marry me, and the ver next day he said to leave him alone and he was seeing another woman. Which, yea he had to have been seeing her long before. I used to be very beautiful, but having my children caused me to have stretch marks and gain alot of weight that no matter what I do, I can't seem to lose. Also, my ex abused me making remarks about my body all the time, to the point I stopped eating during the day. I eat about 1x a night. I smoke, constantly. My nerves are on edge. I cried for about 3 months straight after I learned about my spouse cheating on me. It was crying from sun up to sun down. I would tell my kids that I had something in my eyes or I would go and hide in another room. My depression got to the point where I would never actually cook, just make tv dinners or mcdonalds for my kids. I could barely clean my house. Well, really it was a horrible mess. My kids would make a mess and I wouldn't have the strength to even clean it. Physically and emotionally I am totally at rock bottom. The abuse I have suffered throughout my whole life, including childhood. And now having no where to go. I tried getting help from the welfare office for childcare so I could get a job, but they keep losing my referral. I still am trying everyday, I call to see if it has gone through yet. I have no source of income, except what I have saved. And I have literally only 300$ left to my name. My heating bill last month alone was 360$. because the house I am renting is severly cold and has horrible insulation. I applied for housing assistance, but am on a wait list. I have no where to go. I can't ask my 2 close friends to move in because they have 4 kids and the other has a terminally ill spouse. I don't know why or how my landlord could kick me out over being late on rent! I have paid the late fee! And I have no other complaints on me! I'm so scared the only place to go is to my fathers, and like I said he is a drug addict with alot of druggies coming by to buy and sell drugs. Am i over - excersising??

i run 7 - 12 miles a day ,even when i get tired i keep running because the demand to lose weight keeps me going. i do about 4 hours of excersise every day. i run in any condition including the extreme summer heat here in death valley. i am 14 years old and im 220 lbs 5 feet 8 inches tall. My first wake up call was about last week when i was playing xbox and i could hear my heavy breathing in the silence. also i can't tie my shoes without a chair anymore so i started running , the first 2 days were looking bad i was having aches and soreness but i kept going even when i lost my breath and was sore, now it dosent bother me at all. i actually feel more mobile now and i feel fantastic after 7 miles ,i feel like i could keep going but the heat gets scary out here. i also do 10 push ups and 50 sit ups. I am not starving myself but i only eat when im hungry , i used to eat things just because they looked yummy and not because i was hungry. but i have changed ..will i effectivly lose weight by december? if so whats your estimate of what my weight wil be in december. i have lost 3 lbs already in just 7 days.

Hi. I'm really sorry to hear that and I hope he's ok. If he is ok or if you get another lizard TAKE OUT THE SAND!!!! I cannot express enough that sand is so bad for lizards. If they accidentally consume it, it will clog up their system and cause them to stop eating. Eventually they will start into seizures and sleep a lot. This happened to my lizard once and luckily I took him to the vet in time so he survived. I would really stress that you NEED to see a vet. This can be very serious! I would also keep his heat lamp on all night and heat pad. I really pray for the best for you and I hope this helps!

Why won't my bearded dragons eat?

I've got Locusts for feeding to my new Leopard Gecko, but they really freak me out. It's taking me forever to catch them as I don't want them jumping about my room! Need Help with a very old climbing rose?

We have a climbing rose bush that is very old. When we bought the property it had a locust tree grown up next to it and the climbing rose went 15 feet to the top and even came down some. We carefully removed the tree and cut the excessively long leads. The stems of the bush coming out of the ground are about 2 in in diameter. It gets silver dollar size blooms of whitish pink all over it in the summer. We have wanted to move it but I was terrified so I took a lead and actually got about 10 different sections of it to root and grow. How far can I cut it back and will it harm it to move it? This thing is way out of control in an awkward place with nothing to grow on. Can I cut it down to the ground?
